Fall House Tour

Fall is my favorite time of year! I love everything about it; I love the weather, the colors, the smells, the cozy knit pillows, blankets and sweaters. Anyone who follows my instagram account, would probably notice I love decorating with natural items such as reclaimed barn wood, birch logs, and beautiful flowers. And fall is the perfect season to do this. I can not wait to share my home, and rustic style with you all! ☺️

Front Porch

I love decorating our front porch seasonally. It’s just so much fun! I love using nature for decor. It adds so much texture to your space. Corn husks and hay bales are perfect for Fall! I also love adding lanterns, it just makes any space feel so much more inviting.

Kitchen

Before we even started building, before instagram… I knew I wanted a farmhouse kitchen. I wanted a copper farmhouse sink, beams, and a statement hood fan. I also knew I wanted lots of lanterns for lighting. I feel the kitchen is the heart of the home, and I just wanted a place where family and friends could gather for the holidays. I also have a big family, so I wanted a table that could seat all of us at Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter etc.

Family Room:

I had my heart set on wanting a full wall of stone, but I was a little worried that it would look to heavy.. so I came up with the idea of putting the two cabinets on either side ( one for tv components and one for real cut birch logs) when we were actually out for dinner at the keg Canada. They had a gas fireplace with a cabinet full of real cut birch logs, and I felt it just looked so cozy!

Laundry Room:

I just wanted our laundry room to be functional first/foremost, but then I added a little rustic charm with my diy laundry sign.

Master bedroom:

I wanted to create a space that was calm, relaxing and cozy. The backsplash of our house has warm tones, and dark wood so I wanted to contrast that with antique white linens, and lots of texture.
